Karen & Colleen tied the knot at Down Hall in Essex earlier this month and it's a day I've been looking forward to for almost 2 years!! Their wedding was full of love, colour and dinosaurs.... I mean, that's basically the dream, right?! They also wanted to have a vegan wedding and they were keen to find as many plant powered suppliers as possible, so I was really excited to be asked to join them in their celebrations.
I love that Karen and Colleen spent the morning of the wedding getting ready together, helping each other into their dresses only to then walk down the aisle together, hand in hand. Tanya Westly, a vegan make up artist who uses only cruelty free make up, was responsible for their gorgeous hair & make up and those incredible pink brows! It was such a chilled out morning and the perfect way to start the day together. They also had what I think might now be my favourite ever reading for a wedding, "The Day The Saucers Came" by Neil Gaiman. It was all about love, the end of the world, killer bees, time machines and zombies. And it was truly epic!
Their wedding reception tables were adorned with lots of beautiful wildflowers in gin and wine bottles to match their stunning bouquets. All from the fabulous eco florist Daisy Works. The decor was then finished off with little dinosaurs (obviously) and a touch of glitter. Everything looked gorgeous, bright and super fun! Also....What a cake!! Their amazing "dinosaurs take over the world" style wedding cake was created by the talented and extremely lovely Sarah, from Tiny Sarah's Cakes.
