Colourful Tipi Weddings, Confetti Mishaps & Timeless Wedding Portraits
Black & White wedding photography has an air of luxury and a timeless feel that I just fall more and more in love with as the years roll by. And the way Charlotte & John looked at each other *sighhhh* need I say anymore?! Proof that wedding photography can be romantic, genuine & heartfelt. No cheesy posing required!
Colour Explosion In The Wedding Tipi
I adore a colourful wedding and when it came to celebrating their marriage, Lauren & Pete went all out with the colour!! Festival Brights is a strong summer theme for weddings but can work all year round (they married at Sissons Barn in Autumn) And, it’s a relatively stress free & budget friendly look to accomplish, double win! Bold lanterns and brightly coloured flowers for the tables with lots of fairy lights for good measure. If you look carefully at the background, they also strung together photograps from their childhood and their life together so far, a really sweet way to personalise the reception room and gives the guests something else to enjoy!
The Confetti Run
That moment when you’re at the end of the confetti run and you realise it’s EVERYWHERE!! Love Laurens super happy “But OMG” face with all the joyous looks on the guests behind the newlyweds…
Tip Top Venues in Milton Keyes has stunning views… beautiful tipi’s with rolling hills in the backdrop situated next to a gorgeous lake. And, its home to these wings! Hand painted by local artist Evelyn Morgan, on the side of an old container. I fell in love as soon as I saw them and this portrait of Carla is one of my all time favourite bridal portraits.
We’re also proud to say that this shot was featured in the Your Perfect Wedding Photographer Awards under the category “Vibrant Moments”

Rustic Meets Chic at The Milling Barn
The Milling Barn in Buntingford provides lots of traditional and not so traditional spots for couples wedding portraits. I adore the contrast of Victoria’s glamorous & chic bridal look mixed with the rustic and weathered backdrop of the unused barn. It’s a combination that gives serious french countryside wedding vibes and I’m here for it!!
Chloe made an incredibly stunning bride and I’m always super happy If I manage to spot and snap that moment when the girlfriends say “Let’s see the ring then?!” As documentary wedding photographers we pride ourselves in storytelling images, and moments like this are exactly why we love to shoot the way that we do! Natural, storytelling moments that require zero posing, just pure joy.
There’s Always One…
And if you don‘t know who it is….It’s probably you…! Just another reason we love to shoot in the relaxed, pro candid style that we do. Sure, we capture all those beautiful sweet moments throughout the day but we also love the silly bits too!
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read our blog, we hope you enjoyed this weeks selection and we’ll be back soon!
