April Highlights....

Wow, so April has been bonkers busy!! We've had so much fun shooting weddings and even had a trip to the beach for an Engagement shoot. It's also been about 6 weeks now since we launched the new website, revealing the new branding and announced Craig joining team HPP.

We've had such great feedback and couldn't be more excited about everything, so a huge thank you again to everyone for all of the lovely comments and support.

Laura & Matt - Post Wedding Woodland Shoot

Laura & Matt got married at Dodmoor House in Northampton last month and due to their busy schedule they were unable to have their couples shoot before the big day. Which turned out to be a blessing because Laura got to wear her wedding dress again!! Basically, fulfilling every Brides dream to be able to break out the white dress and feel fabulous all over again. We spent the morning with them in Hinchinbrooke Country Park and despite the looming grey clouds it was a beautiful morning. It's that time of year when everything is becoming lush and green, and the forestry that surrounds the park looks stunning. Such a beautiful spot for pre (or post!!) wedding photography.

Kimbolton Castle Wedding Show

Earlier in the month Craig and I spent the day at Kimbolton Castle for the Cupids Wedding Show. It's the first time I've ever done a wedding fair and we had loadsa fun not only planning and creating our stand (Glitter, ribbon curtains, sequins and pictures of my gorgeous couples?! Hell yes!!) but also meeting lots of lovely 2020/21 couples and other suppliers too. Huge thanks to everyone who came to see us!

Having all of the images printed and delivered also inspired me to share a soppy post on why you should print your photographs. Spoiler, I cried!

The above pictures are a few snaps from our Instagram stories .....And yes, we did inadvertently design our stand in the Griffendor house colours!

Naomi & Davids Wedding at Minstrel Court, Cambridgeshire

We spent the day at Minstrel Court for the wedding of Naomi & David. Naomi wore a stunning dress and had a proper "oh my god we're getting married!" moment as she walked down the aisle. It was really beautiful and capturing moments like this is absolutely what I live for!!

There was lots of Rose Gold and pink details including Naomi's gorgeous pink bouquet which fitted beautifully with their spring wedding.....this eventually ended up being thrown to all the unwed ladies, a tradition we don't often see anymore but one that's really fun to shoot!

There was a super cute Morris Minor which was loaned by one their guest for a few pictures and their amazing cake was made by one of their extremely talented friends.

Tanisha & Robs Wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns, St Neots

The Rickety Barn at Bassmead, one of our favourite venues, was perfect for Tanisha & Robs intimate ceremony. This is the second wedding I’ve had the honour of shooting for the Grimshaw family, so it was really lovely seeing some familiar faces and catching up with everyone!

I adore a tattooed Bride and I'm slightly obsessed with tattoos in general, so if one or both of my couples have their beautiful ink on display then I'll try and find a way to incorporate it into a few creative shots.

Easter Break - Street Photography in Cambridge & Adventuring in the Lake District

We took Easter weekend off for a little R&R and headed into Cambridge. After years of yearning to try street photography but never being bold enough to take the plunge, I finally decided to be brave and just go for it. It was actually really fun and only got told off once so that was definitely a win! Craig then spent a couple of days in Cumbria, climbing mountains and exploring the Peaks with one of his best friends and came home very achey but with these beautiful shots.

Amy & Jake - Pre Wedding Shoot In Bournemouth

We finished the month off with a day trip to Bournemouth for Amy & Jakes Beach Eshoot at Hengistbury Head. We spent all afternoon laughing, shooting, exploring and chatting (mostly about weddings, followed closely by our love of chocolate because Amy & I are complete chocolate monsters!!) I absolutely adored the location they chose, not only did it mean we got to all hang out on the beach for the day, but it was also surrounded by and little woodland hideways.

Amy & Jake are set to tie the knot at Polhawn Fort, a stunning venue for their wedding in Cornwall, this October and we couldn't be more excited about joining them for their big day!

April, you've been awesome!! Roll on May.......
